I would find another place to stay. I mean, no matter what you want to see in L.A. you’re going to have to drive there. why not stay in a nicer place? The Santa Monica area (as stated before) is a good choice. I you want to be further east, then Pasadena is nice.
Hollywood is not UNsafe….but – it can be kind of creepy at night.
